I just finished the Camino from St. Jean to Finisterre. I must have read a dozen Camino books before leaving and "feel every step" after coming back. In my view this was the best of the lot. I like Quintons honest dialogues with his mind, I could relate to him. I felt his every step. Thanks again for sharing your Camino with me through the book.
An honest account of the true challenge this journey is, for body, soul and ego. I would recommend it to those who have walked the Camino - it brought memories flooding back & I often laughed out loud at the talk of cannibals, tarta and the sense of expectant self realisation. A great read.
Interesting account of the author's struggles with blisters and sore feet. Good to know if you power on, they do heal and you become stronger. Account is well written. The author also shares his inner weaknesses. Does the Camino help to find yourself or are we to instead create ourselves? Powerful thought. As I said it is well written. It would have been given a five star if not for the too many needless "F Bombs".
